Rev Dr. John Williams, Jr.
The Preparation
Dr. Williams is currently enrolled in the PhD program at Amridge University in Montgomery, Alabama in the Interdisciplinary Studies program with a focus on Biblical Studies and Curriculum Development. He also has a Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from Trinity International University located in Miami, Florida
The Calling
Dr. Williams’ conversion experience took place in June of 1990 at his home church, Saint Paul AME Church, Miami, Florida, under the tutelage of now Presiding Elder, Reverend Vincent Floyd Mitchell of the Celebrated Central District. His calling to ministry began in 1993 under the leadership of P.E. Mitchell. Dr. Williams has 28 years in ministry with 22 of those years in Pastoral ministry. He was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in 1996 and and Elder in 1998 by retired Bishop Frank Curtis Cummings. For the entire duration of his pastoral ministry, he has served the South Conference of the Eleventh Episcopal District in the South District: Bethel, Key West, St. John, South Miami, Hurst Chapel, Perrine and the Central District: Ward Chapel, Hallandale, Mt. Zion West Park, New Bethel, Clewiston, Greater Bethel, Deerfield. He was assigned to his current charge, Allen Temple, Riviera Beach in the Noble North District by the Bishop, the Right Reverend Adam Jefferson Richardson Jr., in March of 2019.
The Family
Dr. Williams' partner in ministry and marriage is Lady Michelle. They are the proud parents of Janaye Riana (14), Jordan Christopher (20), and Patrice Nicole (32). Lady Michelle is the youngest child of the late Charles Alexander Minus, Jr and Pastor Althea Jones. She has one brother, Charles Alexander Minus, III. Rev Williams, is the oldest of three children born to the late John Wesley, Sr. & Barbara Jean Williams. His two siblings are Ava Williams of Miami, Florida, and Dionne Ellison of Titusville, Florida.
